Do not over think this one. It should be very easy to do what you need to do.

Copy login.jsp to login_test.jsp (or any other name you prefer). Then
point your browser as the other file( you likely need to be explicit
instead of just the /arsys/home redirect) and you should be able to
hack/slash/break/fix to your hearts content. When your happy with what
you have... rename the login.jsp to some other name. (maybe
org.login.jsp) then rename your test file to login.jsp and your users
should start seeing it.
