Hi Chris
This error means that the server does not recognize itself by the name you have connected as. For example, say your server name is abc123 but you have a DNS entry allowing you to connect to it as remsvr1, the server does not know that this is an alias for itself. It assumes that remsvr1 is a remote server. To solve this problem you need to add a line to your ar.cfg/ar.conf file as follows: IP-Name: remsvr1 HTH David Sanders Remedy Solution Architect Enterprise Service Suite @ Work ========================== ARS List Award Winner 2005 Best 3rd party Remedy Application See the <http://www.westoverconsulting.co.uk/downloads/ESS_Concepts_Guide.pdf> ESS Concepts Guide tel +44 1494 468980 mobile +44 7710 377761 email [EMAIL PROTECTED] web http://www.westoverconsulting.co.uk <http://www.westoverconsulting.co.uk/> _____ From: Action Request System discussion list(ARSList) [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Moore, Christopher Allen Sent: Wednesday, April 09, 2008 4:44 AM To: [email protected] Subject: What does thie error mean?? Error with one of the field/assignments in the set filter/active link/escalation definition : +SOT:BillingStageForm (ARERR 168). Set fields actions that reference entries in other forms can only reference forms on the same server in a filter/escalation : +SOT:BillingStageForm : ReconciliationIdentity (ARERR 225). I'm in the admin tool trying to save a filter. Nothing seems to be referencing another server- I'm logged into only one (in this instance of the admin tool), using a form that's only on this server and setting fields from current transaction.I don't understand what this error could possibly mean, but I know it must be something obvious. I tried logging out and back in to make sure I was on the correct server, same error. Thanks!
