Hi Everyone,

We have been using CrystalDesk for nearly two years to automatically email
crystal reports to our customers. It has been great for the most part.
Well when we upgraded to v7 last year it would no longer work on the
production server but since it still worked on the dev server I just pointed
it to the production database and everything has been fine. (ok, so
production was totally in prod environment)

Then a few weeks ago one of our illustrious client managers agreed to send
out a report to about 40 customer email addresses. I was hesitant at first
since that's a fair amount of email address data. But it worked .... well
for a few days. Then things started to go haywire with other reports that
ran fine. We had failed completions and all sorts of wierd things. Then we
had a report attach to the wrong email, not good, but luckily no harm done
... whew!

Finally I took all the email addresses out of that offender (which I will
always blame the problems on that report) and things started to settle down
but not completely. So now we only use it to send to internal people and
someone forwards the reports to customers. Since we send out about 30 a day
to customers I need to be able to rely on what we're using.

Now I'm planning to move to a crystal report scheduler that is more robust,
Crystal Server XI. We have other reports that are generated from non-Remedy
applications and I was asked if that scheduler could possibly work.

Are any of you using FLUX scheduler to email crystal reports? I know that
we use it on unix (solaris) server.

Thanks for your input,
Susan
