Chris,

Often times I run into this issue if I have the FQDN set for the server.  It
seems that for some reason the system uses short names only when your doing
pushes.  If I log out and log in with the short name only, then the problem
goes away.

You might want to give that a shot.

As for selecting the records that a record fires on a modify all, I was
under the impression that it only updated the records that were selected.
As an alternative, you could possibly create a display only form with a
table field of the records you wanted to update and do an active link table
walk of that.

Just some ideas.  Hope one of them helps.
