You can always go to the Group form and see who created it (Creator - Field ID 2) and when (Create Date - Field ID 3).
Or who LAST modified it (Last Modified By - Field ID 5) and when (Modified Date - Field ID 6). This is only the last modifier and may not necessarily be the modifying person/event you are looking for.
