My guess is that your AST:EV:DataFeed form is no longer part of the Asset
Management Deployable application and, therefore, cannot "see" the other
permissions. (Yes, this can occur with custom classes when upgrading to
Patch 006). The CMDB Write Security permission is a Dynamic Group (an actual
field on a form with the same database id as the group id) so it will exist
whether the form is part of the deployable application or not.

Subject: FW: Permissions On A Join Form

Good Afternoon List,

I am having an issue with some CMDB and Asset Inventory forms and
permissions. All our AR Applications are running v 7.0.01 and we are
on
patch 006 on all apps. Issue started once we went to patch 006. We
run everything under Windows Server 2003 and our Database is SQL 2005.

We have a form called AST:EV:DataFeed which is a Join form. The
permission on field in question as viewed on AST:EV:DataFeed is listed
as
CMDB Write Security which has write access, where as the source field on

BMC.Core:EV_DataFeed shows permission of, CMDB Data Change, CMDB Data
Change All, CMDB Data View, CMDB Data View All and CMDB Write Security.
BMC.Core:EV_DataFeed form is also a Join form, and the permission are
passed from that source properly to this form.

I thought that if I ran a Sync Search Database process that perhaps that

would refresh the database. However when I got to run the process the
status shows as Running and the last synchronized time is listed as June

2007?!

Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Lou
