ARS 6.3 requires the Oracle 9i client. If you are using a 10g database
you need to configure the 9i client to with details of the 10g database
(tnsnames.ora file) and then configure ARS to use the 9i client and
connect as though the database was remote (Oracle-Two-Task: in ar.conf).

Subject: ARS6.3 and Oracle 10g migration

**

Hello Support,

We are doing 10g migration testing for our Action request system.

Currently we are on

1. ARS6.3 Patch 23

2. Oracle 9i

3. OS: HP UX 11i

and now are targeting to go to oracle 10(v10.2.3)g with same ARS and OS.

We have already migrated our oracle component to Oracle 10g (10.2.3)
keeping ARS and OS same, but could not start ARS because system is
looking for Oracle 9i libraries.

Please advice what more is needed at our end, is it requiring some ARS
Patching.

Early will be a help.

Regards

Manish
