Janie, I never use ARLogDisplay, and a cursory glance just now didn't show any options for setting word wrapping. I think most normal text editors have an option for "word wrapping" that you can set to display everything on one line. Of course, then you have to scroll to the right to see the whole line, but it is easier to read. I use Textpad (http://www.textpad.com/ ), and others here have different favorites. When reading filter logs, I sometimes use the "Block Select Mode" in Textpad to chop off the beginning part of each line that I usually don't need.
ConText (http://www.contexteditor.org/ ) has a file compare feature which comes in handy sometimes for comparing def files.
