The other "disturbing" thing is reflushing the mid-tier cache did not fix the
problem, it was a restart of the web service that fixed it, which I have also
experienced.... Seems to me the reflush/recache of the mid-tier is not 100%
reliable... (evevn with a mid-tier 7.1 patch 2). That's the reason why when I
recache our mid-tiers, I also restart the service in both web servers

Most likely somebody changed something (probably a form, i.e. adding a field,
changing field properties or layout), and then forgot to recache the mid-tier...

I had that same scenario you are describing just recently, we are using ARS
7.0.1 patch with Mid-tier 7.1 patch 2

Restarting the service worked. Hmmmm, now the research begins as to why
it gets "stale" in the first place?

I've flushed the cache, but I'm still getting the error. I'm going to
try to recycle the apache/Tomcat service.

looks like the definitions on your mid-tier are stale. I would recache
the mid-tier, and as a precautionary step, restart your web server.

I have a form that has a table field. When I pull up a record on the UT
everything is OK, but on the MT I get the error "Data types are not
appropriate for relational operation (ARERR 313)"

I understand what this message means, but not when it works on the UT
and not the MT. My qualification on the table is looking for a record
with a Date and Time field that equals the Date and Time field data on
my form. (same data types if you ask me) :)

MT 7.0.1 patch 5
UT 7.1 Patch 1
ARS 7.0.1 Patch 3
