**
The Command-line version of BMC Remedy Import (arimportcmd) is today
Unicode safe and can be used for importing Unicode into AR System 7.0.00
or higher.

The GUI version is not Unicode safe. This may or may not change in AR
System 7.5.00, although it is under consideration. As we get closer to
the release date, a more definitive answer may become available to those
participating in the open beta.

Subject: 7.5 Import tool and Unicode

**

Hopefully Dave Easter or someone else at BMC will be able to answer this
question but it is a futures kind of question. It seems that with the
change to the 7.5 admin tool it should be Unicode compliant.

My question concerns the Import tool. If we were provided a csv file
with values in Japanese will the 7.5 Import tool be able to load the
data correctly using my laptop (XP US language settings)? It doesn't
work with 7.0.1.

Thanks,
Dave
