Just my opinion, but if you get the code base to a point where it will compile and run as a 64-bit binary, maybe you should release and maintain both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the product, esp. for the windows platform. For the foreseeable future, server manufacturers will continue to market and sell 32-bit platforms and corporations will continue to use them in a production environment.
