Hi Jose,

you need to create roles and then map your permission group to roles, for this
to work and you should ensure that the new role which u created must be applied
to BMC:Atrium CMDB and Remedy Asset inventory deployable applications.

work around for the below error is , just type in roleid separated by semicolon
this should work .

But the problem with approach which you are using would be when you upgrade
CMDB , then CMDB class might take the OOBT permissions defined for the class,
in case if you are changing permissions for an existing class

Another way would be controlling the access from active link, actl will fire
for $USER$ belongs to your defined group then you can control the loading of
the form with an appropriate message to user.

Hope this helps

Regards

Prashanth

Subject: CMDB Form Permissions Access

**
Hi all,

In our CMDB we want that only certain groups can access to certain forms.

For example, we want that only ComputersGroup AR group can access to
BMC_ComputerSystem and DatabasesGroup can access only to BMC_Database class.
Somebody knows any way to do this?

I´m trying using Permissions tab on class definition forms but it does not
appear to work properly...

31/07/2007 1:29:04 Remedy Application Service
ERROR: 120035 The permission list must be a list of IDs that are separated by
semicolons. Role or group Id is out of range. Only roles, system groups, and
dynamic groups are allowed. Invalid group Id: 20010

Only I type one group, semicolon is not the problem (I tried with and without
it).

Any idea?

Thanks and regards,
