BMC support led me to a setting in the config.properties file in the ARWebReportViewer install directory that can be set.
arsystem.crt_schedule_interval=5 I set this value to 1 [minute]. From the Midtier, after a Crystal report is run and closed, the CR license will expire in 1 minute. It should help with our limitation of only 5 concurrent Crystal Report Server licenses. This setting is also in the config.properties file in the MidTier install directory and I believe if you are not using the ARWebReportViewer (CRS installed on another server than the Midtier), then you need to change this setting in this file. -Mary Ann -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, August 21, 2008 8:49 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cc: Jones, Mary Ann K @ EIS Subject: MidTier 7.0.01/Patch 7 - CRS XI/R2 - Crystal Concurrent License Usage We have used Crystal with Remedy for years now but are new to Crystal Reports Server and the Midtier. We have Crystal Reports Server XI/R2 installed on a separate server from the MidTier 7.0.01/Patch 7. We bought 5 concurrent (not named) Crystal Licenses. What we have noticed is that if only 1 user is on the MidTier and they are running 1 different report after another, closing each report after each run, a Crystal license is used. So when they try to run the 6th report, they get a message that all concurrent licenses are in use. Even if the user logs off of the Mid-Tier, Crystal CMS still shows 5 licenses in use. Has anyone else experienced this? We have not installed any CRS XI patches but maybe that is the answer. Thanks very much.
