With the v7 Email Engine Remedy no longer relies on a process ID. The RMI port is basically an administration port to communicate with the engine.
I had a similar problem when upgrading our dev server from 6.3 to 7.1. We have 6 environments on the server (2 dev, 2 test, and 2 training since we have 2 independent Remedy applications). Figuring out it was an admin port for the email engine took a bit of work, but now all environments are running smoothly. I initially set it to the same port as my ARS server and realized that was a mistake. I then set to 1099 and things are better but would still like to understand it better. Thank you. _______________________________________________________________________________ UNSUBSCRIBE or access ARSlist Archives at www.arslist.org Platinum Sponsor: www.rmsportal.com ARSlist: "Where the Answers Are"
