Well...from that perspective...I'm not sure how successful you will be...but good luck...:)...if you get this to work I KNOW for sure that the community would be interested in knowing about it because you will have Remedy running on an open source DB...which is something we have been looking for for quite some time....

As I understand enterprisedb it is a shim for postgresql that makes it look like oracle. So if you have an oracle based app you should be able to run it on ppstgres if you have enterprisesb. Which I think is an amazing feat. Obviously less cost and the enterprisesb people will say better performance too.. -John Sent from my iPhone On Sep 6, 2008, at 9:41 PM, LJ Longwing <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: ** Oh...my bad....I thought he meant to run Remedy on EnterpriseDB...:) _____ From: Action Request System discussion list(ARSList) [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Frank Caruso Sent: Saturday, September 06, 2008 12:27 PM To: <mailto:[email protected]> [email protected] Subject: Re: Postgres Plugin ** My understanding is that ARDBC Plugin could attach to any database\external source of data. I would think it would not matter what the database because the plugin would make it seamless to ARS.
