Not that I know what caused it or corrected it but my email engine came
back to life.
BMC Support had me run the EmailStart.bat in debug mode which indicated
a successful start up but eventually I saw --- "Email Daemon" Exception
in thread --- repeated over and over on the console (dos cmd window)
I killed that window increased the java heap in the registry to 512 max
and tried to restart Email. Still no joy.

Now, I don't know if this really kick started it or not put I then ran
arsignal -c <servername> and the email started flowing. Maybe it was
just a coincidence and the email was taking a few minutes to start but
it "appears" that I am back online and stable.

Thanks again Joe D.

Subject: Email Engine problem listed in the Application Event viewer in
Windows

Hello Listers,
ARS 6.3 Patch 14
AREmail Engine Patch 21
Remote MS SQL2000
Windows 2000

Has anyone ever seen this error message show up after starting the
AREmail Engine?
The AREmail logs stdout.log reports a successful start but no email is
being processed by the system.

Is the RegQueryValueEx function a java command?

Which file is it looking for?
