Yes I can confirm what David says.. I had noticed that the address appeared to
be from the ARS List as well.

If this is anything like what I faced, we might end up getting a regular email
like this for a few days. I wasn't able to find out what or who was causing it
in my case and one fine day it just stopped but it spammed the list for a few
days...

Hmmm. I really thought that email had come from the ARS List. I forwarded it
to you noting that someone had spoofed your email address. It was really early
when I read it.

Interesting, I checked and the original email is there. It appears to have
gone to everyone in Contacts EXCEPT arslist email address. So if we've had
emails you received it or even if you were in a thread I think. Wonder why it
didn't go to the arslist email address. It says Sent by gmail.com

It's as if someone eliminated the one email address ... wierd.

Joe,

I think that all she will see is that it came from the ARS List. Much of the
original headers get lost when going through a majordomo.

No sweat Susan..

Many years ago this same thing happened to me wherein it appeared like my email
account seemed to spam the ARS List with junk mail.. If you look at the header
from where the mail is originating you will perhaps realize it isn't even from
gmail but from some other domain and is only using your email address as a
spoofed identity..

If you still have that mail and check the header you might be able to trace
where it is coming from..

Unfortunately I already deleted and emptied the recycle bin or I'd have looked
it up for you..

That email did not come from me. This is my first experience with this and I
apologize.

I contacted the emails on that solicitation (not like it's really them) and
told them that I've notified everyone to let 1000 of their friends no never to
buy anything and those friends should let 1000 of their friends know too.

I do not have a virus on my computer, already checked. I have changed my
password to a VERY strong combination it will take me 2 months to memorize.

I wish I was techy enough to figure out were it originated. Since I'm not
going to Miami I could take a trip someplace else!
