ARS 7.1 p3 Solaris/Sybase We've configured server grouping with two servers. We have the Email Engine (EE) setup to be ranked number 1 on one host, 2 on the other. Since the email engine is only running on one host we have users sending email through a listserv which points to that ARS host. This all works just fine.
Now, if the server which is running the EE, and receiving email, goes down the second server should then start running EE automatically. But the listserv is hardcoded to point to just one ARS host so it would have to be changed manually. Also, any unread mail on the first host would not get processed. I was wondering how other users are handling this situation or if I am missing something about the EE.
