Current: Sybase 12.5 on RHEL, ARS on Solaris 8
New: Sybase 15 on RHEL, ARS on Solaris 9 running openclient 12

The "ar_install" script throws an error at the point where it is beginning
the DB upgrade:

Running DB upgrade. This may take several minutes ....
Running DB upgrade.....
Failure while trying to connect to the SQL database.
Please ensure the SQL database is running or contact the Database
Administrator for help (ARERR 550)
   ct_close(FORCE): user api layer: external error: There is a usage error.
This routine has been called at an illegal time. (Sybase 16843068) :

I have confirmed all env. variables are set, the ARS user "ARAdmin" can
connect to the database. Actually, before the script throws the error it
asks for the DB user and password and is succesfull. I have run the
"sybload" command succesfully with the ARS user and password.

>From what I can tell it is dying at this point in the install script:

RET=`$INSTALL_DIR/syb_db/arupsyb -c "${ARCONFIGDIR}/ar.conf" -d 2>&1 | tee
-a $DBQUERY_LOG >> $ERROR_LOG`

Any thoughts?
