It depends on whether the position is permanent or contract and what benefits come with it, which are not clear from the previous email. If this is strictly a 6-month contract job with no perm conversion or benefits, I agree that the rate is a bit low. If this is a perm position with full medical, dental, 401k, and all other standard perks, then the rate is fairly decent.
We also don't know location. $50 per hour can go a long way in Timbuktu, Wisconsin, but might leave you strapped for cash in Manhattan, Washington D.C., or San Francisco. Is it because of the Credit Cruch that people think rates can go down? Of course I don't know any specific details about this engagement but in my opinion 50 dollars / hour for somebody with 3-5 years of experience is just too low... -- Michiel Beijen Software Consultant +31 6 - 457 42 418 Bee Free IT + http://beefreeit.nl On Thu, Dec 18, 2008 at 15:37, Leah George <[email protected]> wrote: > ** > > Gary, > > > > My client needs a team of 4 remedy developer but the only concern would be > that of the years of experience.
