William,
This is just a WAG... but ... maybe the problem has less to do with
Crystal and more to do with the User Tool? (or maybe better stated...
with Windows file system permissions.)
Maybe the problem is that the User Tool is trying to write to a temp
location and failing to download the crystal report file at all?
I would check four places:
A) The users ability to write to their configured 'Search Path':
Tools (Menu)
--> Options(Menu Item)
--> Options (Dialog)
--> General (Tab)
--> 'Search Path' (field)
B)The users ability to write to their configured 'Home Directory':
Tools (Menu)
--> Accounts(Menu Item)
--> Account (Dialog)
--> Users... (Button)
--> Check the 'Home Directory' for the 'Default User' and if
needed the named user in the list.
The users ability to write to their configured '%TEMP%' location.
The users ability to write to their configured '%HOMEPATH%' location.
I am not positive which location "wins" the location for where the
file ends up during the caching process(and it may depend on User Tool
version), but I think it is reasonable to expect all of those
locations to be writable by the Windows User.
Again.... just a WAG.
