the list in a very lazy manner.

Are you just trying to send and receive email?  Firebird is a pop3 email
receiver.  You can create an account on the same server where Firebird
is pulling the information.  Set up the Email engine for POP3 and set it
up to access that new account.  This is the way I am using it and it
works great.
