Column Technologies is seeking a BMC Remedy Field/Custom Trainer to
support Custom BMC Remedy Training Engagements. Candidates must be
comfortable with up to 75% travel.
Objectives: Engage customers to gather custom training requirements,
prepare training material, and deliver custom training. Must have strong
oral and written communication skills and be capable of developing
polished documentation.
* Draft application and process specific training documentation
* Conduct requirements gathering workshops around training needs and
deliverables
* Design custom or product-based training guides, job aides, labs,
slides, etc...
* Demonstrate the BMC Remedy ITSM suite to customers
* Estimate level of effort to design or train on BMC Remedy product
suite
* Del-iver custom training through a variety of mediums to include
classroom and web
* Effectively self manage project engagements
Communication
* Effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors
* Deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations
* Resolve and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion
* Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information
tactfully
* Excellent delivery skills when presenting to an audience - must be
able to command an audience and authoritatively answer questions
Technical Understanding
* Possesses a thorough understanding of Column Technologies training
product and services capabilities
* Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential
application on client engagements
* Thorough understanding of both the architectural design and deployment
intent of the following BMC Remedy modules -
* Incident Management
* Problem Management
* Change Management
* Asset Management
* SRM
* RKM
* Knowledge and experience with ITIL and other IT Best Practices
frameworks (ideally, Foundations-certified) (also good: Six Sigma, CMMI,
other methodologies)
Teamwork
* Mentoring - offer insights to team members and help them improve
delivery of Column products
* Keep track of lessons learned and share those lessons with team
members.
* Mitigate team conflict and communication problems.
* Assist other team members with assignments when possible
