Applications and databases are CIs. Build them (the application and
database CIs) and establish relationships to them. Look at the
Relationships tab, select type configuration element, search and relate
them.

--> Application
--> DB1
--> DB1
--> DB2

I have a server in Computer System. I need to display the applications on
the server, and the database instances to the applications. How do I
associate the applications with a CI. I just see how to add the people and
support groups to the CI.
