I'm looking to build a new server to run ARS7.5 and ITSM 7.6 and would like to see what is recommended (or preferred) versus what is the minimal requirements. I have read the ITSM Installation Guide 7.6.00 but their recommendations are for Test/Dev environments and I don't what to buy a server that will give my users a slow experience. Here is what BMC recommends: Dual 3GHz processors 6GIG RAM 1GIG RAM for each additional app 7 GIG hard disk space
I would like to run ARS7.1, ITSM 7.6.01 (INC,CHG, PRB, AST), and Mid Tier on the same server. The DB will be on a separate SQL server. We're currently looking at about 1000-1200 INC tickets per week and 50 change tickets per week; with about 250 IT users. With the possibility of upgrading to 2000 tickets per week, 100 change tickets and 300 IT users and 5000 non-IT users to user SRM for entering their own requests. Also, is it possible and supported by BMC to run ARS on windows 2008 64-bit and the DB to be on SQL2008?
