Richard, What really do you mean by 'server differences rather than the application/def file differences'? What Rick pointed out will compare def file and compare definition differences (form, fields, views, permissions, active links, filters, etc.)
Richard, Are you more interested in other differences? Like server configuration, setup etc? If you are interested in that, I am not really sure migrator does that (at least I haven't used it for that.). You might want to in this case compare things like the startup file if you are in UNIX, the AR configuration file, the armonitor file, server environment variables, output of df (preferably with the -k option) if you are on UNIX, output of rpcinfo if on UNIX, contents of /etc/rpc if on UNIX, stuff like that... We currently are running a 7.5 patch 1 system on both a production and a development server, and the same for a web server. Is there any recommended way/list/utility that can assist in my being able to compare the servers to see what differences there may be between them? I’m more interested at this point in the server differences rather than the application/def file differences. Thanks for any help, suggestions or references….
