Really? How did I miss that? I'll have to go back and check that out. Thanks for pointing that out.

That can take a while and looks like the mid tier is hanging. Refreshing the window can make it look like it is finally working, but I think much of the time, that is just an illusion, because the server was working on the form in the meantime, so it will often be nearly done by the time the user decides to refresh the page. Note that every time you create a new Support Group in Remedy, it adds a new Remedy group to the system, and if your mid tier is set to periodically check for definition updates, it will flush its cache and rebuilding it every time it checks after you've added a support group. In order to work around that issue, we have disabled the periodic definition change checks. In the mid tier configuration page under Cache Settings, uncheck the Perform Check checkbox next to Definition Change Check Interval. This will cause the mid tier to never check for updates, and will keep the cache from getting flushed every time you add a new support group. Note that if you do this, you will need to manually flush the cache any time you deploy workflow changes to that environment. We do this as part of our change deployment process. It's essentially the final step of any change we make. My users are having issues with Mid-Tier hanging on occasion when trying to access a new form or link. This also happens on occasion when they are logging into the system. Usually they can just close the window/tab and click again with success, but I am not sure what is causing the hang in the first place. Since the issue is sporadic it is hard to nail down what exactly is causing it. All access is done through IE 7. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.
