Mark, With regards to the admin tool, I have noticed that if your server window is set to active links and you modify and save an active link, the save takes longer, as the objects in the server window are refreshed in the background. If you haven't selected a specific object type in the server window and save the active link it saves a lot faster. It is the same with forms as well.
