Actually if you're sure that 6 characters will be the max length of the
word(s) you are looking for just substring for all 6 characters and due
an rpad to trim the space if the word returned is 5 characters.
Rpad(SUBSTRC($Description$, 12, 16))

Of course the command may not be rpad but there should an equivalent
that I am too lazy to look up at the moment.

Subject: SUBSTRC on the third word

**

HI All

I have a situation where I need to grab the third word from a
description. I was able to do SUBSTRC($Description$, 12, 16) when the
first three words were always the same length. However now that "third
word" might be 6 characters long instead of 5.

Have a great weekend

Mark
