Shane,

You would want to reference the view name and not the table name for such things as it will still retain the connection after migrations just in case the sql table name changes because of a different table id depending on how you perform your refreshes from dev to prod..

The view names would be just like the form names you see in the AR System through the admin or the user interface.. Only you would need to replace any special characters such as colons or spaces with an underscore..

So SIT:Site would be SIT_Site. There is more to the convention, but for your purpose, this information should be good enough..

The convention is similar for field names...

Barb,

Thanks for your quick response.  I am looking more for the SQL Table Name that stores this information so that we can reference that for our Web Interface.  I know the information is located in many, but I am trying to find the most direct table to query.

Thanks,

Hi Shane

the location information (not department) is stored in the tables that begin with the prefix SIT

Location Table Names

Does anyone know what table stores the location information? I am looking specifically for Region, Site Group, Site, Organization and Department. We are trying to provide a real-time interface for our users to update their information as it changes. The information itself would push into Active Directory, and then modify the People record in Remedy. What we need to do initially is to have a list of valid options for them to choose from. Without valid location information they are currently unable to submit tickets through our online interface. Any help or direction would be appreciated.
