Hello,

I have been tasked with building DR for Discovery 1.6 Foundation. I have
not seen BMC Remedy documentation to get tips on how to build a disaster
recovery process for Discovery. Is there a way to replicate the current
Discovery system to a DR box.

Some of my concerns:
1. Currently our Discovery server is struggling with 4G RAM, 32G Hard
Drive space (21 G is full). We are currently discovering desktops and
servers. We have not been able to discover about 500+ assets due to
credential
errors/ports blocks. So when the credential/port errors are resolved the
available space will decrease. If we start discovering routers, switches,
etc... then this will require more space.

2. When I run reports or tasks using the Discovery tool it is slow. Also
isn't there maintenance for the Discovery store? I was told by BMC to
clean up the datastore. I am just not sure how the datastore gets bad data
objects.

3. We really don't know the correct sizing for the new DR box. I just do
not want to replicate the same problems we are having from our current
Discovery onto the new box.

4. Will the fact that we are not running RE jobs to clean the data in TOPO
and the CMDB - will this affect the data that is in DR? I know at one
point we had orphans etc..
