Hi, Yes you will. You need to build two components. One for the midtier the other for the AR Server.
When a midtier is protected by siteminder, it handles the authentication process and if successful, it will produce certain header information that you can interpret as a correct login. The Siteminder API docs are quite easy to understand and BMC produce a whitepaper that explains the SSO interface quite well.
