Narrowed issue to a table qualification. If I deleted the table qualification in the 6.3 admin tool, I was able to open the table in the 7.1 patch 8 Admin tool. Once I added the qualification back, it crashes the 7.1 tool but not the 6.3 tool.
Eventually, per BMC's direction, digressed to Admin tool 7.1 patch 7 and it the table works now....
