Have a table field on the form where you want to search records. The form on which value is inserted on "Open Window" should have an AL that would fire on Window Loaded and check if FieldValue!=$NULL$, perform a Refresh table action. Under table properties, write the criteria you need to specify for searching. Keep drill down option available on table to open records in new window.
