Build an Active Link on Window Open, and set that field to $DEFAULT$. Make

I am not sure if I am not getting your issue correctly.
I just tried on a field which has a search menu attached to it.
I added a default value and it took it.
Are you testing in mid-tier then see if cache is cleared or not.

default value to a field I have on a form.  This field does a menu look-up
off another form.  When I try to place a default value in the field
attributes using developer studio it doesn't display the value.

look up field.  If this is so are there any ideas on how I can make this
happen?
