By specifying to ARS that the Oracle is on a remote server I don't believe it
matters what platform Oracle is on. All that matters is that the Oracle client
(on the ARS server) can connect to the Oracle database.

Subject: ARS 6.3 Compatibility

Is Server 2008 R2 64 bit supported for my Oracle server?

My net admin team needs to upgrade the server and they want to use
Server 2008. I looked on the 6.3 Compatibility matrix and there is no
mention of 2008/64 bit on it (granted it is an old matrix).

The Oracle database sits on it's own server.

Current configuration:

ARS 6.3 Patch 24
HD 6.0
Windows 2003 4 gig RAM on app server

Oracle 10.2.0.4.0 w/9 libraries
Oracle lives on a remote server
Windows 2003 8 gig RAM on DB server
