Position Specific Competencies/Skills Required: - Experience with customizing or implementing BMC IT Service Management 7.x (ITSM) applications. Preferably have knowledge of ITSM 7.5 application suite or above. - Use BMC Remedy AR System (version 7.5 or above) to code BMC Remedy applications. Experience with BMC Remedy Developer Studio is required. - Experience Developing of Web/Client/Server Workflow Applications using Remedy Technology is required. Knowledge and experience working with ITIL framework is a plus but not required. - Experience in programming languages - JAVA, C and C++ is a plus but not required. - Proven track record of developing complex solutions using BMC Remedy development platform - Must possess strong communication skills and a team player. - Preferably have knowledge of various UNIX platforms (Solaris, AIX, HP-UX) and across various processor architectures and Databases Additonal Job Function: - The role is primarily a product developer role. quire experience coding applications using BMC Remedy Action Request System. - They will receive requirements from a BMC Architect/Lead and will be required to implement the application requirements. - Be able to translate the actual requirements into AR implementation. - Be able to test their work that is done and ensure new code has not broken existing functionality. - participate in code reviews/demos on their work done - Developer may also be involved in defect fixes for the BMC Remedy ITSM product suite. - in the defect fixing capacity, they will be assigned defects by a BMC lead, and they will need to come up with a solution to fix it - Defect fixes need to follow best practices set forth by BMC - ensure no functionality regression, ensure performance standards, upgradeability and maintenability • Minimum 8 years experience in technical environment. • Minimum 4 years management experience. • Must have participated in full product development lifecycles of software products (whiteboard to production) and successfully brought documentation deliverables to market. • Ability to train and mentor IDD team members on new and emerging communication techniques and technologies. • Understand the customer perspective and be in sync with customer issues and product implementation. • Problem-solver, self-starter requiring minimal oversight, demonstrates consistent involvement with flexibility and good follow-through skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Exceptional initiative and drive.
