Sorry. That's what the Import Tool does. It's not complicated. Just tedious and manual, hence, error prone, but certainly doable.
With Meta-Update, it's trivial to automate: Query = Src, SrcSchema, SrcQry Update = Tgt, TgtSchema, UpdQuery Assign = asg AssignNew = asgNew Merge = Yes, NoWokflow [asgNew] .. more assignment to make a new record if desired.. [asg] NewDiary = OldDiary Cheers Ben Chernys Senior Software Architect Software Tool House Inc. If you want to copy from diary A to diary B without creating a new entry, but to just make a complete copy, you would need to do a 'mergeEntry' at the API level...a bit more complicated. -----Original Message----- From: Action Request System discussion list(ARSList) [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Atul Vohra Sent: Thursday, August 05, 2010 1:44 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Copy entire diary field All, Is there a way to copy the entire diary field (all the entries) from one form to another. v 6.3 and also v 7.1 Thanks _______________________________________________________________________________ UNSUBSCRIBE or access ARSlist Archives at www.arslist.org attend wwrug10 www.wwrug.com ARSlist: "Where the Answers Are" _______________________________________________________________________________ UNSUBSCRIBE or access ARSlist Archives at www.arslist.org attend wwrug10 www.wwrug.com ARSlist: "Where the Answers Are" _______________________________________________________________________________ UNSUBSCRIBE or access ARSlist Archives at www.arslist.org attend wwrug10 www.wwrug.com ARSlist: "Where the Answers Are"
