I do not see why it should not be able to handle 'free services' where the price is 0.
How would you have a negative price/cost for something? Its like 'Here's my goods and I owe you a few dollars for buying them for me.' Doesn't make sense. The one exception I can think is waste management or a scrapyard or a junkyard - that too depending on whose perspective you look at it - these entities offer a service - you pay for it.. The cost of owning anything only can increase with time.. Its value is another thing..
