Hello All, In my opinion if there is no functionality that ties applications from Informix database, there are no constrains. For example I switch back and forward between Oracle and MS SQL 2 times. The only issue is database performance and how it easy to manage it. In my case ARS + MS SQL 2000 Enterprise was better than ARS + ORCL 10gi Enterprise. Daniel
