This is what I received from BMC on loading the product catalog for 7.6.3: ----------------------------- We haven't included Product Catalog data with 7.6.03, below is a section from a technical bulletin we are going to publish soon.
Best practice guidelines to populate the Product Catalog in BMC Atrium Core version 7.6.03 If you have a new installation of BMC Atrium Core version 7.6.03, you can populate the Product Catalog by using one of the following ways: ! "Use the Normalization Engine to create Product Catalog entries from datasets" ! "Create or import custom Product Catalog data" Use the Normalization Engine to create Product Catalog entries from datasets BMC recommends that you treat your key discovery sources as trusted datasets and use the Normalization Engine to automatically populate the Product Catalog from the discovery datasets. In most cases, the Product Catalog data that is created from the discovery datasets is manageable in size, is contextual for your organization, and includes much less unused or unrelated standard data. This ensures a higher success rate in a subsequent normalization process. For information about using the Normalization Engine to create Product Catalog entries from datasets, see the BMC Atrium Core 7.6.03 Normalization and Reconciliation Guide. Create or import custom Product Catalog data If you have not installed BMC Atrium Discovery or any other discovery tool in your production environment, you can import or manually create custom product entries in the Product Catalog Console.
