I did find using the Search that Application Pending has more than 1000
pending operation. All of them fall into one of two Categories and
Commands"

Category Command
BR-CHK-CONFIG SG-Check-Config
SLM-CHK-CONFIG SG-Check-Config

The status for all of these is "Pending". There are three servers in this
server group. Looking down through the list, the only thing that changes as
I highlight each entry is in the box called "Other Short", it toggles
between the names of two of the three servers in the group. And the
"Pending ID" changes for each one.

Can I just delete all of these? (That was a joke....I know the answer is
probably no.)

Still trying to find something on Google that talks about this. Much oblige
to anyone who has a thought on how to go about fixing this. :)

Thanks
Sam

I have not been able to do much in the CMDB. Every change I make locks up
the server and requries a restart. After the restart the changes are not
there, and using the SYNC method in the CMDB driver program does not fix
the issue - it also locks up the server. The only change I was able to make
( and only one time) was to add an abstract class to Base Element.

BMC is currently working on the issue.

They did recommend using the OLD Class manager. It did not help me but it
might help you.

  Hello Listfolks!

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year!

I'm trying to delete some custom attributes that were added to a few
classes, and not having much luck.

For example, I added an attribute to BMC_Application. I need to remove
it. So I go into Atrium Core Console, drill down to the class, click the
Attributes tab, choose the attribute, and click Remove.

The screen grinds away for a minute or so. Then the icon in the BMC
Atrium Core Console that you would use to "Delete Class" gets a red ball
on the lower-right, with a white '-' in the middle of it. If I then go
back into BMC_Application, the attribute is gone. But the parent class
(BMC_ApplicationSystem) shows a "Status" of "Error" (though it's greyed
out in that field), and in the Custom Properties field, there's
"1\100050\2\1". (That part is not greyed out, and I can remove it if I
  want.)

If I close out of Atrium Core Console and go back in, the rod ball with
the minus sign on it is still present in the "Delete class" icon. And in
the Custom Properties field, there's still "1\100050\2\1". However the
"Status for BMC_ApplicationSystem is now "Active". And its parent
(BMC_System) is also "Active", but has the same series of numbers in the
"Custom Properties" field. BMC_BaseElement is the same ("Active" status,
and same numbers in "Custom Properties".

AND, in the BMC_Application, in the "Custom Properties" field, there's
  this mess: "2\400090\4\15\ApplicationType\100050\2\1"

I've restarted the ARS Server (version 7.6.03 running on Linux), and had
the Oracle (10gR2) guys bounce the database (also version 7.6.03) for me.
  The problem persists.

Anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this?

  Thanks
  Sam
