It's not too much hassle.
Export the forms to a def file, delete them then reimport them. You can then share the parent form workflow with the child forms. If you don't delete them then the few bits of workflow that have attached will prevent you sharing all the workflow from the parent From: Action Request System discussion list(ARSList) [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Charlie Wilson Sent: 18 February 2011 19:48 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: New AST form but no workflow? ** Thanks Mike. That did not solve the problem. Even before re-adding the forms to the application I think the permissions we're ok. It only appears that the workflow is not being associated with the new forms. These are subclasses of ComputerSystem. I was hoping that the generic active links association with the ComputerSystem Save button, for example, would automatically be associated with the NewSubClass Save button. To manually go through and plug in all of this workflow into all of these buttons, menus, etc. across several subclass/AST forms will be a ton of work. Thanks again for your time. The usual fix for this is to modify (not simply open) the application "Remedy Asset Inventory", where all AST forms reside. Your new class forms will likely not be included. (If they are, remove them.) Modify the application form list by adding your forms, then save the application. This should apply the needed role-permissions to all the objects on your new class forms. Note: This takes a lot of CPU, so be careful if doing this on your production system! I've used Asset Management to generate new AST forms for these classes. I understand that the system creates these join forms based on the superclass's AST form. I've noticed that the generic active link objects that are associated with the superclass's form are not automatically associated with the new subclass AST form. Am I missing something or is this by design? I must attach, and/or create, all of the generic active links that would normally fire on Save, Print, Close, etc.? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
