Hi,
I have searched the net without any significant success.
We have a bunch of ARAPI-programs that needs to get compiled on various
platforms, but it seems kind of medieval to actually buy hardware for SUN,
HP-UX and AIX, when there are such things at PaaS (Platform as a Service)
out there in the cloud.
What I specifically need now is reliable access to SUN-Sparc, HP-UX and
AIX servers where I can install gcc, g++, gdb and such gnu-tools, and then
get SSH-access to these machines.
I do not even need my own server, just an account.
For testing the programs, I can use SSH to tunnel any ARAPI-calls back to
my AR-server, or access an AR-server on the internet.
I would probably only need the access 5-20 times each year, so PaaS or
SaaS seems ideal, depending on the price-structure.
Or are there ways of virtualizing sparc Solaris, HP-UX and AIX on a
linux/windows host?
Any ideas? How do you solve these things in a cost effective way?
