This position is part of the Information Operations Applications group reporting into the Global Operations department. The primary role of this position is to support the day to day operational support of the BMC Remedy 7.x Suite used globally by IT, business customers and third party vendors. Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with IT technical and functional support groups to gather requirements for implementation or integration of BMC Remedy 7x Suite modules. - Lead the validation of requirements against BMC Remedy tool capabilities and constraints. - Interface w/ Project Managers or Line Managers to coordinate implementation of new software applications, upgrades & fixes to existing software applications, and various other project related activities. - Refine existing functional requirements for ITSM tools and participate in the development of an integrated ITSM and monitoring/event management tooling strategy and architecture. - Work with stakeholders to develop enterprise and regional tool implementation strategies and plans. - Share responsibility with internal and customer team members to deploy, configure, and where necessary customize various aspects of Incident, Change, Service Request Management (SRM), Release, and Configuration Management (Atrium). - Work with experts to enable integrations between third-party systems and BMC Atrium. - Perform and document technical evaluations of new software based on requirements provided by the client. - Assist in the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and standards for the reliable, efficient, and effective deployment of software applications to the enterprise. - Participate in the development of test cases and plans. Execute action plans to correct testing anomalies. - Administer, tune and support deployed solutions in a mission critical 24x7 environment. - Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks are completed. - Develop detailed technical and operational documentation. - Participate in the development of technical training materials. - Deliver technical training to workgroup staff. - Participate in the development of IT training materials. - Participate in the delivery of IT training, as required.
