Rajesh is correct - the Enterprise premium editions of Crystal Reports of BOXI
would be needed to integrate with the Mid-Tier and thus be able to view Crystal
Reports through the web client. Just wanted to also mention that there are two
other options:

1. BMC offers a premium version of BMC Analytics at a lower price point than
buying straight from SAP that provides BOXI Enterprise Premium to BMC customers
for this use. Since BMC Analytics itself comes with the ITSM Suite, you'd only
need to purchase the additional BMC Analytics Premium user capacity to take
advantage of this. Typically, we find this a very economic solution for
customers who still want retain their investment in Crystal reports that
they've created.

2. The other option would be to move away from Crystal and just utilize the
embedded web reporting capability within the ITSM Suite 7.6.0x. I mentioned
this in my "What's New in 7.6.03" blog:

https://communities.bmc.com/communities/community/bmcdn/bmc_atrium_and_foundation_technologies/bmc_remedy_ar_system/blog/2010/09/22/whats-new-in-ar-system-7603

That option would provide basic web reporting at no additional cost as well
as simplifying your reporting infrastructure. However, if you've put
significant time and effort into creating unique Crystal based reports - and
thus you want to keep using Crystal / BOXI - then either option #1 or buying
from SAP are what you'd want to do.

Subject: What crystal reports license do I need for the web?

Hi Listers,

more and more of our customers use the web client. We need to enable
them to do reporting on the web, esp. to use our existing reports
created with Crystal Reports. What Crystal license do we need for
that?

thanks,
Mark
