Top Three Skills Needed: Remedy, Atruim, Linux/AIX This is a team lead position with the Production Engineering team. System Engineers in this area are responsible for planning, leveraging and maintaining the Remedy platform and its infrastructure, applications, procedures and integrations that support all IT cost, service and operation management functions across IT and ultimately IT Service Management throughout Progressive. Through consultation and leadership, Production Engineers plan, engineer, implement and operationalize all aspects of the Remedy platform and its associated integrations. Core Responsibilities: - Provide leadership and direction for implementation of Remedy platform projects - accountable for the successful delivery, implementation and servicing of application, infrastructure and related processes to production. - Create operational turnover documentation and training for Operations as well as others on the Production Engineering Team for supported tools and infrastructures. - Perform Tier IV level support in resolving complex and critical issues for the complete Service Management tool suite and related interfaces to/from the Remedy system including event management. - Proactively monitor and report on the health of the system infrastructures - Partner with other Engineering organizations to review tool & process road maps, life cycles and licensing. - Keep tool infrastructures current (versions, patches, platforms, maintenance), supportable and stable - Recommendations for tool and infrastructure technology upgrades, support, remediation, training, maintenance, end of life. - Experience with products such as BMC Atrium CMDB, Remedy ITSM Suite (i.e. Service Desk, Knowledge Mgmt., Change Mgmt., Asset Mgmt., SLM, SRM, etc.), scripting and/or general application development experience, database (SQL, SQL Query and DBA practices) and data transformational tools (SSIS, AIE, etc) experience necessary.
