:)

BMC cloud offering, ondemand is on vmware.

This disk speed analysis tool came in handy

There is also a whitepaper on vmware and AR System but the BMC Support site
seems to be down at the moment. I can email you an old version directly if you
like?

Kind regards
Danny

I knew folks from Java System Solutions would have done this :) BTW your SSO
solution is just amazing.

OK now can I get some guidance - some white paper if available etc :-)

Thanks

Sorry it may be more helpful to provide some things we found out :)

The midtier environments need resources in the order of CPU, Memory, Disk SPEED
The AR Server env.. Memory, CPU, Disk Speed
The DB using Oracle on RHEL5.5, Its Disk Speed, CPU if you do NOT have
enterprise license.

There are plenty of forums about running databases on VMs. It can be possible
but some argue its not great on performance. But the midtier and ARS, running
ITSM 7.6.04 run fine if you dedicate resources

Kind regards

Subject: VM Clone for ARS 7.6.04

All,

We were looking in to deploying clones on different VMs which would have ARS
7.6.4 / Oracle db etc.
Has anyone looked in to this and is it possible?

Thanks
