Awesome! Another toy!

Actually I think it’s a pretty cool idea making the old traditional visiting 
card look like its for that ape from the GEICO ads...

Has anyone toyed around with the idea of having those 2 dimensional bar codes 
to make a ‘mecard’ from QR reader and actually use it in email signatures? I 
think it’s a pretty cool idea as you can scan that code and it creates a 
contact on smartphones on scanning those..

** I checked it out last night.  Looks like we will all be getting the Mingle 
Stick thingie when we get to WWRUG, and it's a way to pass vcard info to and 
from one another easily and wirelessly.  It's legit.  You can set up your 
account and decide what information gets passed along.  It's even configurable, 
so you can have different sets of information based on the trusted status of 
the recipient.

I would guess that it is also how at least some vendor prizes will be signed up 
for.  Instead of scanning your badge, you'll just Mingle-thingie them.  At 
least, that's how I would do it.  I don't have any inside info that says that's 
how it will really work.
