Here is a copy of the 6.3 compatibility matrix. Yes BMC does not support 6.3
but if you submit a low priority, I'm not in a hurry, request, they will gladly
dig up the documentation for you. Case in point I just got this matrix a couple
of weeks ago.

Subject: Re: Remedy 6.3 and AIX 7.1 compatibility

** 6.3 is out of support so I doubt you will find documents related to that on
support site.

AIX assures backward binary compatibility from AIX 4.3 to AIX 6.1 for version
7.1. So in theory it should work.

You may face problem related to other third party product like database client,
JDK (on AIX it is IBM JDK only so it should not be problem in this case).

There is a possibility that you may face problem related to other OS
API/library, like recently we found that AIX 5.3 TL12 broke the backward
compatibility related to some API in OS library which created problem for AR
Server 7.5. [I think there is efix available from AIX for it]

Again BMC does not support 6.3, so its better you move to latest version if it
is viable option for you....

Amen....

Hi All,

We have Remedy 6.3 Environment up and running on AIX 6.1.

And there is a plan for upgrading AIX 6.1 to AIX 7.1

I was looking to confirm the compatibility of these two, but couldn't locate
the compatibility matrix for Remedy 6.3.

Anyone with any experience of above?

Anyone aware of any known issues/possibile issue with running Remedy 6.3 on AIX
7.1?

Any ideas or thoughts are much appreciated.

Cheers!

Vaibhav
